Usuários de redes sociais compartilharam nesta terça-feira (28) vídeos com cenas do terremoto de magnitude 7,7 graus entre as ilhas de Cuba e da Jamaica.
A intensidade do tremor e a localização do epicentro — em profundidade baixa e no meio do mar — levaram o Centro Internacional de Informações de Tsunami a emitir um alerta para seis países. Mais tarde, porém, o aviso foi retirado.

A agência France Presse relata que moradores de Havana, capital de Cuba, deixaram prédios da cidade após o tremor.
Edifícios foram esvaziados em Miami, na Flórida, a mais de 700 quilômetros ao norte de onde foi registrado o terremoto.
